Crushing and grinding
Coarse crushing: jaw crusher (discharge particle size ≤ 150mm)
Fine crushing: cone crusher/high pressure roller mill (discharge particle size ≤ 10mm)
Grinding: ball mill + spiral classifier (grinding to -200 mesh accounts for 70%~85%)
Magnetic separation pretreatment (removal of iron impurities)
Weak magnetic separation (permanent magnetic drum separator, magnetic field strength 150~175kA/m) → Recover strong magnetic minerals (such as magnetite)
Strong magnetic separation (high gradient magnetic separator, magnetic field strength 770~950kA/m) → Recover weak magnetic minerals (such as hematite, lepidolite)
Magnetic separation concentrate: can further recover iron or tantalum niobium minerals
